We'd like to think we have made using our service to be as simple as possible. So this guide is fairly brief!
Essentially there are three elements you need to understand -
- How to set your username and password
- How to switch between our UK and US data-center
- How to find out what version of the software you are using (in case you have a support issue and need to let us know)
& that's it!!
To access all the software options, you right-click on the tray icon
and you are presented with some menu options.
How to set your username and password
When you first sign-up and register for our service, you enter your email address and a password - these are the same details you use here. If you change your password, or reinstall our software you will sometimes need to re-enter the details. From the menu (right-click), select the Username/Password option, change the details and select OK to save the changes

You may receive the following error message if the username and/or password is incorrect -

If you believe them both to be correct, then please login and check that your subscription is fully paid and uptodate (we disable an account automatically if either the trial period has ended or a payment has not been made for the subscription period).
How to switch between our UK and US data-center
From the menu (right click) select which data-center you'd like to "tunnel" through - the UK or US (your "new" IP address will be random from that data-center and may change during your session). As a rule of thumb, we recommend that you use the closest geographically based sets of servers on a day to day basis. However, there are times e.g. when you are travelling, or you wish to access certain sites, when you may wish to switch to the alternative server. To help you determine which server might suit you best as a default, please read our "How to determine your Internet Speed" guide

One thing to remember, close your browser session(s) & re-open them to make sure your machine has picked up the changes when you switch servers. Sometimes your browser will not pick up the change without restarting it. Read our "How to prove which location" guide.
How to find out what version of the software you are using
From the menu (right-click), select "About..." - it will show the software build number you have installed e.g.
