How to tell if you are running Windows 32-bit or Windows 64-bit software?
Answer -
For Windows XP click here
In Windows Vista or or Windows 7 -
Select the Control Panel from the Start Menu
followed by , System and Security
followed by System
and you will see in the middle section the "System Type"
With Windows XP you need to do the following -
Select the Control Panel from the Start Menu
followed by System
and you will see in "System" - it will only say 64-bit Edition if it is a 64-bit version, otherwise it is 32-bit as below
