Education is critical to the understanding of privacy and anonymity on the web. As more and more people use the Internet on a day to day basis, the potential for identity theft, invasion of privacy etc increases exponentially.
It is a highly complex subject - one we try to break down as simply as possible to try and teach the basics without blinding people with techno science. Unfortunately understanding a few basic terms is unavoidable. The biggest cost is TIME! At uk:anon we believe that education begins in our schools and colleges - not only the students, but perhaps more importantly our educators (teachers) and parents! We have begun a program in the UK of working with local schools and colleges to help educate the teachers and parents through formal and informal seminars. It is a constantly moving target, so we will upload more recent presentations as and when they are available. Of course it is without the "oral delivery" but may help you understand a few things you have seen on the Internet.
